OPUS Cimetière
Clear, straightforward cemetery management
A complete digital tool for municipal cemeteries: interactive mapping, collaboration between departments, automatic document generation and full traceability.
Overview
OPUS Cimetière is municipal cemetery management software. It displays burial rights on a map, searches deceased records, manages associated documents and tracks administrative information. OPUS Cimetière is part of the OPUS range of solutions for municipalities.
An end-to-end workflow
From registering a death through to burial, each step is guided and shared across departments.
Registration
The civil registration department records the death or advance request, with information about the applicant and deceased person.
Allocation
Public works selects a plot on the map and allocates it to the case (status: “allocated”).
Preparation
The grave is prepared and administrative orders are automatically generated as PDFs.
Burial
Once burial is confirmed, the plot becomes “occupied” and the case closes automatically.
Two departments, one platform
The tool connects Civil registration and Public works (DST). Each department works on its own fields in its own workspace, while sharing the same funeral case.
- Civil registration
Records declarations, enters information about the deceased and applicant, and generates administrative documents.
- Public works
Allocates the plot on the map, prepares the grave, confirms burial and closes the case.
- Automatic notifications
Each department is notified in real time as the other progresses: a new death, plot allocation or grave ready for burial.
Features
Interactive map
View the entire cemetery on an interactive MapLibre map. Plots are colour-coded by status: available, occupied, reserved or allocated.
Advanced search
Search for a deceased person, burial right or plot by last name, first name, reference or date. Instant results are located on the map.
Collaborative workflow
End-to-end funeral case management through a civil registration → public works workflow, with each department editing only its own fields.
Document generation
Automatically generate burial authorizations and burial-right orders as PDFs directly from the funeral case.
Burial rights management
Track burial rights in full: holder, term, dates, amounts, receipts and associated documents.
Table view and editing
Switch between the map and a data table to view and edit imported plot properties.
GeoJSON import
Import your geographic data in GeoJSON format. Geometries and metadata are integrated automatically.
Roles and multiple users
Four access levels — viewing, data entry, administration and demo — for secure management by department.
Notifications and audit
Real-time notifications between departments and a complete audit log to trace each action.
Practical use cases
The tool fits into municipal staff’s everyday work, simplifying each step of cemetery management.
- A civil registration officer records a new death
- Public works allocates a plot using the map
- A family member or staff member searches for a deceased person or plot
- Automatic generation of burial and burial-right orders
- Tracking burial rights approaching their expiry date
